Because the Blessing Box works through the generousity of the members and friends of St. John's there is never a set list of items inside the Blessing Box, however you will generally find a variety of non-perishable canned stews, vegetables, and soups, along with dry goods like beans, rice, and pasta, and occassionally fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, and even occassionally toiletries. If you're in need, what you need is yours for the taking.

How You Can Help Others
At St. John's, caring for our neighbors is part of living our faith. Jesus taught us to “do to others as you would have them do to you” (Luke 6:31), and Scripture calls us to “share with God's people who are in need” (Romans 12:13).

How the Blessing Box Works
The Blessing Box works on a simple idea: take what you need, and leave what you can. There’s no sign-up, no forms, and no questions asked—just a shared space where neighbors care for one another. Some come to receive, others come to give, and many do both over time.
Where to Find the Blessing Box
The Blessing Box is conveniently located right outside the main entrance to St. John's on North San Anselmo Avenue (across the street from the downtown parking lots in San Bruno) and is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no questions asked.
