The United Church of Christ

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is a distinct and diverse community of Christians that come together as one church to join faith and action. With over 5,000 churches and nearly one million members across the U.S., the UCC serves God in the co-creation of a just and sustainable world. The UCC is a church of firsts, a church of extravagant welcome, and a church where “…they may all be one” (John 17:21).

Northern California Nevada UCC Conference

We are the United Church of Christ in northern California and western, northern Nevada. We are 99 local churches (12,000 members) and about 300 ministers, from Eureka to Tulare, from Monterey to Reno, and everywhere in between. Some of our churches were founded during the early years of the California gold rush. All of us started with a desire to be people of worship, education, fellowship and ministry to our communities. Our mission is to unite ourselves as a covenant community and support and nurture each other as together we seek to make God’s gracious love known and real in our lives and in the world.

As one family uniting many families in spirit, and as a home away from home for many members, FFAUCC fosters an inclusive community in which everyone feels seen, valued, and loved as a person made in God’s image.
