What We Believe About Jesus

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the center of our faith. Through His life, teaching, death, and resurrection, God has revealed His love and made a way for us to be restored. But that raises important questions—who is Jesus really, what did He accomplish, and what does it mean to follow Him today? These are questions we take seriously because everything we believe is shaped by Him.

Frequently Asked Questions About Jesus

Who is Jesus?
We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God who came into the world as a human being. He is fully God and fully man, revealing God’s character and love to us in a way we can see and understand. In Jesus, we see who God is and how He relates to us. (John 1:1, 14)
Why did Jesus come?
Jesus came to reveal God, to call people back into relationship with Him, and to bring salvation. Through His life and teaching, He showed us what it means to live in God’s kingdom. Ultimately, He came to give His life so that we could be forgiven and made new. (Luke 19:10)

What happened at the cross?

We believe that on the cross, Jesus gave His life for us. Through His death, sin is dealt with, forgiveness is made possible, and we are reconciled to God. The cross is the clearest expression of God’s love and grace toward us. (Romans 5:8)
Did Jesus really rise from the dead?
Yes. We believe Jesus rose from the dead on the third day, defeating sin and death. The resurrection is central to our faith—it is the assurance that new life is possible and that God’s promises are true. (1 Corinthians 15:3–4)
What is Jesus doing now?
We believe Jesus is alive and present with us. He reigns as Lord and continues His work through the Holy Spirit, guiding, strengthening, and transforming those who follow Him. He is not distant—He is active in our lives today. (Hebrews 7:25)

What does it mean to follow Jesus?

Following Jesus means trusting Him, learning from Him, and allowing His life to shape ours. It is not about perfection, but about direction—step by step becoming more like Him in how we live, love, and serve. (Luke 9:23)
Jesus is not just someone we learn about—He is someone we follow. As we grow in faith, we come to know Him more deeply and experience the life He invites us into.
