What We Believe About Salvation
We believe salvation is God’s gift of grace—offered to us through Jesus Christ. It is how we are forgiven, restored, and brought into new life with God. But what does that really mean? Is salvation a moment, a process, or both? How does it change our lives? These are important questions because salvation is at the heart of the Christian faith.
Frequently Asked Questions About Salvation
What is salvation?
Salvation is God’s work of rescuing and restoring us. Through Jesus, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and brought into new life. It is not something we earn—it is a gift of grace freely given. (Ephesians 2:8–9)
Why do we need salvation?
We need salvation because sin separates us from God and distorts the life we were created to live. Left on our own, we cannot restore that relationship. Salvation is God’s way of bringing us back to Himself. (Romans 6:23)
How does salvation happen?
Salvation comes through Jesus Christ—through His life, death, and resurrection. As we turn toward God in faith, trusting in what Jesus has done, we receive forgiveness and begin a new life with Him. (Romans 10:9–10)
Is salvation a one-time event or a lifelong process?
Salvation is both. There is a moment when we turn to God and begin new life, but there is also a lifelong process of growth and transformation. We are continually being shaped into who God created us to be. (Philippians 1:6)
Can salvation be lost?
We believe our relationship with God is secure in His grace, not in our perfection. At the same time, faith is meant to be lived out and nurtured over time. Salvation is not about fear—it is about a real, ongoing relationship with God. (John 10:28–29)
How does salvation change my life?
Salvation changes us from the inside out. As we grow in faith, our priorities, relationships, and actions begin to reflect Jesus more clearly. This change is not instant, but it is real—God is at work in us. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Salvation is not just about where we end up—it’s about the life we begin now. Through Jesus, we are invited into a restored relationship with God and a new way of living shaped by His grace.
